How to perform ghusl
Before doing Ghusl, make Niyyah (intention) as follows: "I am performing Ghusl in order to become Paak. Ghusl can be done standing or seated, with sat being preferred. Don't be stingy with water and don't squander it. While performing Ghusl, one should refrain from speaking. While showering, it is best not to read any Kalimah or Aayah. When making Ghusl, keep these rules in mind. GHUSL PERFORMANCE PROCEDURE:
1. Wash your hands all the way up to your wrists.
2. Washed your private places. Even if one is not in the state of Janaabat or Najaasat, one should wash their hands and private parts.
3. If there is any Najaasat left on the body, it should be washed away now.
4. Put on a Wudhu performance (For Wudhu according to Sunnah, read a separate leaflet.) Perform the complete Wudhu after making Ghusl on a stool or platform where water will quickly flow away. If you are concerned about your feet being soaked in wastewater during the Ghusl, wait until the end of the Ghusl to wash them.
5. Rinse the mouth and nostrils three times with warm water.
6. Pour water over the head three times after performing Wudhu;
7. Finally, pour three times over the right shoulder and;
8. Repeat thrice over the left shoulder.
9. Now saturate your entire body with water and rub it in.
10. If the hair on your head isn't plaited, you must wet it all the way down to the roots. Ghusl will be invalid if even a single hair is left dry. If a woman's hair is plaited, she is exempt from loosening her plaited hair, but she is required to wet the root of each and every hair not Men with long hair who plait it are NOT spared from drying their hair. If a lady has trouble wetting the very bottom of her plaited hair, she must unplait her hair and wash her entire head.
11. Cleaning the body by rubbing it is Mustahab (preferred).
12. Apply to the rest of the body with your hand to ensure that water reaches all parts
13. Move rings, earrings, and other jewelry so that no part of the body is exposed to the elements. Make sure your navel and ears are both soaked. Ghusl will be incomplete if they are not wet.
14.It is not required to wash the feet again if they were previously washed while conducting Wudhu.
15. Use a clean towel to dry the body and dress as quickly as possible.
It is not required to repeat Ghusl if a certain portion of the body is left dry after Ghusl; instead, simply wash the dry portion. Moving a wet hand to a dry place is not enough. If you forget to rinse your mouth or nostrils before performing Ghusl, you can do so afterward.
Ghusl's three Faraa'ids (mandatory acts) are:
1. Rinse the mouth until the water reaches the back of the throat.
2. Rinse the nostrils from the tip of the fleshy section to the end.
3. To totally drench one's entire body. Ghusl is valid when certain Faraa'id are performed, whether purposefully or unintentionally.
